Constitution of 7th Central Pay Commission for Central Government Employees Minister said, "at present no proposal to constitute the 7th Central Pay Commission is under consideration of the Government". Minister of State for Finance Shri.Namo Narain Meena was said in the Lok Sabha as written reply to a question of constitute 7th Central Pay Commission for Central Government employees on 1.03.2013, as follows… "There have been some demands received for setting up of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The undersigned is directed to invite a reference to Rules 5 & 6 of the CCS(RP) Rules, 2008, as per which a Central Government employee had an option to elect to come over to the revised pay structure either from 1.1.2006 or from the date of his next increment or from the date of promotion, upgradation of pay scales. Such an option was to be exercised within 3 months from the date of publication of CCS (RP) Rules, 2008. The rule also provides that the option once exercised shall be final. 2. The Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Shri.V.Narayanasamy said that there is no proposal and there is no any recommendations to increase the age of retirement of Central Government employees from 60 to 62 years. While answering to a question, the Central Government again reiterated its stand on raising of retirement age for Central Government employees on 27th February 2013 that there is no any recommendation or proposal to increase the retirement age of Central Government employees from 60 to 62 years. Reservation in Central Government Services for SC/ST employees The below information was submitted by the Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Shri.V.Narayanasamy in Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question about the reservation policy of Central Government on 27th February, 2013. Reservation in Central Government jobs for SC/ST employees is provided at the rate of 15% and 7.5%, respectively, in all Groups in promotion by non-selection method and upto the lowest rung of Group A in promotion by selection method.  The Department related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law & Justice in its report in the year 2005, while examining the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Reservation in Posts and Services), Bill 2004, in its report on the issue of whether OBCs should be given reservation in promotions like SCs/ STs, observed

UPGRADATION OF LDC & UDC         Com. S.K. Vyas, President, Central Government Employees & Workers and Member National JCM has informed that a proposal for the Upgradation of the Grade Pay of LDC to Rs. 2400 and UDC to Rs. 2800 has been demanded by the staff side and the same is under consideration of the Anomaly Committee/ National JCM.  We expect a positive decision on the issue. Re-designate the posts of LDC/UDC and Assistant in Central Secretariat

When answering in Rajya Sabha to the unstarred question about change of designation of the Assistant and Section Officers of CSS, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Shri.V.Narayanasamy said that there was no such agreement between Government and CSS/CSCS associations. In the 57th Ordinary Meeting of the Departmental Council (JCM) of DoP&T, held on 8.5.2010, a demand was raised by the staff side to re-designate the posts of LDC/UDC and Assistant in Central Secretariat. The Official side had expressed its “No Objection” to the proposal. The staff side was asked to come up with their suggestions in this regard. These posts have not been re-designated.
