UPGRADATION OF LDC & UDC         Com. S.K. Vyas, President, Central Government Employees & Workers and Member National JCM has informed that a proposal for the Upgradation of the Grade Pay of LDC to Rs. 2400 and UDC to Rs. 2800 has been demanded by the staff side and the same is under consideration of the Anomaly Committee/ National JCM.  We expect a positive decision on the issue. When answering in Rajya Sabha to the unstarred question about change of designation of the Assistant and Section Officers of CSS, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Shri.V.Narayanasamy said that there was no such agreement between Government and CSS/CSCS associations. In the 57th Ordinary Meeting of the Departmental Council (JCM) of DoP&T, held on 8.5.2010, a demand was raised by the staff side to re-designate the posts of LDC/UDC and Assistant in Central Secretariat. The Official side had expressed its “No Objection” to the proposal. The staff side was asked to come up with their suggestions in this regard. These posts have not been re-designated.
